Retail Cover Letters: Worth It or Waste of Time?

Short answer? Worth it — if you do it right.

A good cover letter doesn’t repeat your CV. It connects you to them. Keep it short (1/2 a page), and cover:

  • Why this store?
  • What value you bring?
  • A line about your personality or work style.

🧠 Example:

“I’ve always loved [Brand]’s focus on community, and I believe my upbeat energy and background in visual merchandising would be a strong fit for your team.”

Attach it, even if it’s optional. It shows effort.
